New research shows respect, not money, buys happiness.
This new research by psychological scientist Cameron Anderson and his colleagues at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, looked into the relationship between different types of status and well-being. Their findings indicate overall happiness is associated with how much you are respected and regarded by others, not your monetary status.
